The NFHS and NSDA now offer an online course for new (and not-so-new) forensics judges covering basic skills in judging speech and debate rounds. The course includes video from the final rounds of NSDA Nationals and provides useful information about not only what to expect from the students, but how to behave as a judge. While not a substitute for local judge training, the course is both a useful orientation and a skill sharpener.
The course is free and can be taken at the NFHS Learning Center. An NFHS account, also free, is required to register. To help with the three practice judging activities, you can download the following ballots:

FGCCFL has created a special tournament site on Tabroom to help coaches practice using the online registration system. You can find this site at fgccflsandbox.tabroom.com. Guidance is provided on the front page of the site and a downloadable PDF. The site will be available through
September 12 September 15.
Please take the opportunity to create your Tabroom account, add your students and judges, and learn how Tabroom registration works before the first tournament of the season.
